A: Lately, almost everything I get goes to medical bills. Grr. If you've wondered why you are also seeing ads on the site, that's part of my attempt to cover that. Almost makes you believe in socialized medicine...

I also buy programming books, and the occasional lunch, or pay part of the bandwidth and web hosting fees for the site.

A: No, oddly enough, it turns out that depending on donations is not a very good business model. At this point, about 1/10th of the costs of running this website are paid for by donations. The rest just comes out of my pocket. Luckily, I have a good "day job." :-)

A: Only as much as you want. If everyone who used the scripts gave even one dollar, it would cover all my website costs with a little left over. If everyone gave 5 dollars, I could work on the scripts full time.
